JEAN LAFITTE, La. (AP) - Tropical Storm Lee has stalled just off the Louisiana coast as it dumps heavy rain across the northern Gulf Coast.

Forecasters at the National Hurricane Center said Saturday afternoon the storm had been stationary for a few hours.

Its center was about 45 miles southwest of Morgan City with maximum sustained winds of 60 miles per hour.

Forecasters say they expect the storm to begin a slow and erratic path to the north and northeast and make landfall later Saturday afternoon or evening.
