County assessment of overnight Irene damage

Initial damage reports from Hurricane Irene to Horry County Emergency Management are minimal.

Several reports of downed trees and spotty power outages were reported late Friday night and Saturday morning.

Final assessment has revealed no significant damage to the beach, road infrastructure or structures.

No injuries were reported.
