As of 7:40am, Horry Electric Cooperative is reporting they have 1,300 customers without power this morning.

At one point they had 10,000 customers affected. They had some circuits that needed to be re-energized at substations, and once that was done power came on for many of their customers.

Horry Electric spokeswoman Penelope Hinson says crews are still out working to restore everyone's power.

Employees dedicated to answering phone calls for Horry Electric are also reporting for duty Saturday morning.
