ROWLAND, N.C. (AP) - The Robeson County Health Department is trying to find 100 high school students and staff who may have been exposed to tuberculosis.

The Robesonian of Lumberton reports that a former student at South Robeson High School tested positive for the disease. Since then, 10 people who had contact with the student have received positive test results.

The health department says it's tested 71 of the 171 students and staff members who may have been exposed to the disease. Officials say they expect only a small number of people will need follow up testing.

They say they don't believe that anyone is at immediate risk of health problems.

The agency will likely hold a TB skin test clinic at the high school after school starts next week.
