The Nuclear Regulatory Commission plans to meet with Progress Energy about the H.B. Robinson plant near Hartsville.

They'll talk about corrective actions taken at the plant to address unplanned shutdowns that happened in the last few months of 2010. They also plan to talk about an emergency diesel generator breaker, operator training objectives and the failure to implement some procedures during a plant shutdown in March 2010.

The NRC evaluates regulatory performance at commercial nuclear power plants.

The NRC staff inspected the Robinson plant twice this year after last year's problems and found the company's corrective actions were appropriate.

The meeting is set for August 25th at 2 p.m. In the Hartsville Public Library. The meeting is open to the public. If you'd like to teleconference the meeting, contact the NRC's Randy Musser at 404-997-4603 or randy.musser@nrc.gov.
