Kenneth Allen Batton, 37, of Marion pleaded guilty Thursday in federal court in Florence to wire fraud.

Evidence showed Batton used other people's identities to open accounts with adult chat lines, open bank accounts, obtain credit cards, and to obtain money from other people's accounts. Batton also had merchandise charged on other people's credit cards mailed to his address.

The maximum penalty Batton can receive is a fine of $1,000,000 and/or imprisonment for 22 years years.
