(AP) -- CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - An American Airlines flight with 152 passengers and a crew of six has landed in Charleston after experiencing severe turbulence on a flight between Miami and Reagan National Airport in Washington.
The Boeing 737 landed in Charleston shortly before 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
American Airlines spokesman Tim Smith said Flight 734 encountered severe turbulence near the Florida-Georgia border. He said emergency medical crews met the plane and one flight attendant and two passengers were treated for minor injuries.
Smith said a replacement plane was being flown to Charleston and the passengers would continue their flight Tuesday evening.
Smith said the plane made a normal landing and added that mechanics will check out the aircraft for any damage.
