The Bridgewater Academy charter school being built in Horry County is set to open in December.

Colleen Gaskins asked us on the NewsChannel 15 Facebook page why construction had stopped.

Administrative Assistant Rachel Joy-Dimery said the contractor was waiting to get a few signatures in order to start the underground plumbing. When that's done, she says you'll start seeing a lot more building.

The students now attend school at Christ United Methodist Church. They're expected to move into the new school building in December.
