Temps will max out in the mid 90s by the beaches and near 100 Inland for the next 2 days. The heat index will soar over 105 up to 110 in spots each afternoon. A heat advisory has been issued for the area for today. A cold front will drop into the area over the next 48 hours. We'll see the chance for isolated to widely scattered storms throughout the next 3 days. With any of these storms there will be the possibility of heavy rain and intense lightning. Some storms may contain strong, damaging winds as well. The front is expected to push to the south of our area bringing in a little relief from the excessive heat and humidity for the end of the week.
