Coroner rules on Lamar football player death

The Darlington County Coroner ruled that Tyquan Brantley died as a result of sickle-cell crisis.

Coroner Todd Hardee says Tyquan Brantley died as a result of sickle-cell crisis. He ruled the death is natural.

Brantley, 14, was a freshman at Lamar High. He died several hours after collapsing at practice Saturday

Brantley's teammates at Lamar High School have continued to practice and say they're dedicating this season to him.

His funeral is at 4 p.m. Friday at Lamar High.
