A judge denied bond for a man accused of dragging a Pamplico police officer following a traffic stop five years ago.

Nicky Wilson, 28, is charged with assault and battery with intent to kill.

In August of 2006, deputies say he dragged officer Andy Capps 100 yards, after he stopped him for playing loud music. Capps is now disabled.

Officers say Wilson was living under a false identity until he was caught this week in Tennessee.

"He's definitely changed his appearance," said Andy Capps. I'm just when I saw him you know butterflies started but I just I just hope that he finally does the right thing."

Capps says he holds no ill feelings toward Wilson, but he does want him to admit to what happened so Capps can move on with his life.
