First responders work the scene of a fatal accident at the intersection of Holmestown Road/Glenns Bay Road and Highway 17 Bypass.
HORRY COUNTY -- Update:
The Horry County Coroners office says Jerry Smith, 72, of Surfside Beach died on the scene. Smith was not wearing a helmet.
The driver of the car was not injured.

South Carolina Highway Patrol says a person died in a crash between a car and a motorcycle at the intersection of Holmestown Road/Glenns Bay Road and Highway 17 By-Pass Thursday afternoon.
Authorities shut down Glenns Bay Road about 1:30 p.m. They re-opened the road about two hours later.
