The Lake City Fire Department responded to a house fire Saturday afternoon on South Morris Street. The call came in just before 4 p.m.

In a press release, engineer Ken Justice said, "Upon arrival there was fire and smoke visible from the front and rear of a home. Lake City fire personnel made a quick attack on the fire and despite nearly triple digit temperatures the fire was still brought under control in about 20 minutes."

Justice goes on to say about 75 percent of the home was damaged by flames.

No one was injured.
