The Northeastern Strategic Alliance met Wednesday to discuss a grant to support their efforts for economic development growth in the Pee Dee and Grand Strand.
Officials with NESA tell us they've applied for a $50,000 grant from the United States Department of Agriculture.
NESA hopes to use the money as a part of a study of the Pee Dee and Grand Strand region to find ways to enhance economic development.
NESA officials say they hope to know in the coming days if they will get the grant.
