The former president of the Litchfield Plantation Association is accused of swindling money from the organization.

Documents show Edwin Scott Trotter, 68 of Pawleys Island, was relieved as president in February 2011.

Three board members say Trotter falsely represented himself as the president of the Litchfield Plantation Association and transferred money from a bank to his company, Litchfield Plantation Buyout Group in April, according to a Georgetown County Sheriff's Office report.

They also allege Trotter took an undisclosed amount of money in mortgages and promissory notes.

Trotter is charged with Grand Larceny. He was arrested on June 28 and is out of jail on bond.
