Highway patrol has reopened a portion of Alligator Road in Florence following an accident Wednesday morning.

Troopers say a log truck collided with a car on the road just after 7:30 Wednesday morning.

We're told there were no major injuries.

Logs were scattered all over the road and part of a fence at Forest Lake Greenhouse was knocked down.

Diesel fuel from the log truck spilled onto the highway prompting troopers to shut down the road.

Officials with the Department of Health and Environmental Control were on scene to oversee the fuel cleanup.

Highway Patrol is investigating what caused the accident.
