Florence School District Four board members passed their budget Tuesday night.
The district hoped to borrow $800,000 against a bond, but Governor Nikki Haley vetoed the bill that would have allowed that.
The board chairwoman tells NewsChannel 15 they plan to get about $1.3 million from their tax anticipation note. That's money that will come in from local property taxes next March, but they will collect it early.
The chair says they haven't cut any positions as of now.
A financial consultant for the district says he will recommend board members make drastic cuts to save between $300,000 to $400,000.
