A judge set bond for a Marlboro County man accused of stealing the identities of as many as 40 people.
Bond was set at $35,000 for 21 year old Vontrell Canty.
Police say he used their identities to buy things like electronics.
Many of the victims found out when they got letters from credit agencies saying someone opened accounts in their name.
We're told federal authorities may look into this case.
