The city of Conway is changing how they handle 911 calls.
Horry County Council passed a resolution to take over the City of Conway's 911 police dispatch calls at their meeting Monday night.
The county had already been taking care of Conway's fire related 911 calls.
Now, Conway will pay Horry County $166,136 for four dispatchers.
"The county has agreed to interview all of our dispatchers and we hope to have a smooth transition to the county office," Conway Mayor Alys Lawson said.
Horry County and the City of Conway also agreed to review this contract every year.
Lawson says this will save taxpayer money.
