CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - US Airways officials say the computer system at its Charlotte hub is back up following an outage that continues to delay flights.
An airline spokesman said Sunday the system went down at 7:50 a.m. and was restored about 3 ½ hours later. Flights to and from Charlotte Douglas International Airport will continue to be delayed.
The airline is warning customers that they may encounter longer lines at the ticket counter and delays of up to an hour. The outage did not cause any flights to be cancelled.
A five-hour computer outage virtually shut down United Airlines Friday night and early Saturday. Thousands were stranded as United canceled 36 flights and delayed 100 worldwide.
