Myrtle Beach Police Public Information Officer David Knipes says a suicidal man with some sort of rifle who was on the beach at the beach access on 65th Avenue North has been taken into custody.
Knipes says the man was talking with a negotiator right now and did not pose a threat to others.
Police are asking the public to avoid the area.
