Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee identified the man killed in the Dovesville community of Darlington County as Levi Gregg.

Deputies say Douglas Gregg killed Levi Gregg at a home on Charles Drive Sunday. They say Douglas Gregg also kidnapped a woman who was visiting Levi Gregg, forced her inside a stolen vehicle, though, she was able to jump out and escape a short time later. Authorities say that woman is doing OK.

Captain Andy Locklair with the Darlington County Sheriff's Office says, after the murder and kidnapping, Douglas Gregg then held up a convenience store in nearby Society Hill.

Deputies caught Douglas Gregg about two hours later near Old Camden Road.

Gregg is charged with murder, kidnapping grand larceny and armed robbery.

The coroner plans to release Levi Gregg's cause of death Monday or Tuesday.
