One group is recognizing our nation's flag a few days before Flag Day.

Sunday afternoon, the South Carolina Elks placed hundreds of flags on the gravesites of the veterans buried at Hillcrest Cemetary in Conway.

They also saluted Old Glory with a ceremony that included a performance of Taps, and a reflection and reading of quotes about the red, white, and blue.

This is the third year the Elks have done so. The flags will remain up in Hillcrest Cemetary through Wednesday. Flag Day is Tuesday.
