Horry County Police Sgt. Robert Kegler says officers are looking for a carjacking suspect in the Conway Medical Center and Coastal Carolina University areas.
He says Myrtle Beach and Horry County police chased the man for a short time. He ditched the car around Highway 501 and Singleton Ridge Road and ran.
Police are looking for a black man with white shorts and a white shirt, wearing some type of hat. He may be armed with a knife.
