LAURINBURG - Sunday, Laurinburg Police charged 33-year-old Lashon Fairly with two counts of murder and possesion of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Authorities say Fairly killed 30-year-old Derrick Bethea and 18-year-old William McKoy with a semi-automatic rifle.
It happened at the intersection of West Main Street and Aberdeen Road just before noon Saturday.
Police say the victims were leaving Brothers in the Hood Market near downtown when Fairly opened fire on them.
Investigators say there was an on-going dispute over a dog fight between the men.
Fairly is not elgible for bond.
