Two high school seniors won $1,000 each in scholarship awards today.
Seniors from Horry, Georgetown, Marion, Williamsburg and parts of Florence Counties who plan to attend college were able to apply.
The winners are Myrtle Beach High School graduate Rita Guadalupe Contreras, and Mullins High School graduate Gladys Vaughn. Contreras plans to attend Coastal Carolina University, Vaugn also plans to attend CCU.
The scholarships could be renewed for three additional years if the students meet certain requirements.
The KEY Scholarship is presented by Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union, HTC, and 104.9 BOB FM.
