Some of our nation's bravest will spend this Memorial Day on the Grand Strand.

A crowd turned out at Tavern in the Forest in Carolina Forest Friday night to welcome the wounded warriors from Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

The Support Our Troops Foundation raised money to bring them here.

The soldiers' bus was escorted in by Corvettes and some motorcycles.

Once they arrived they were welcomed with handshakes and hugs from everyone, including the Blue Star Mothers of Coastal Carolina.

The Wounded Warriors will take part in activities and events over the weekend including a golf tournament fundraiser at Pine Lakes which will tee off at 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
