An employee trapped under a dumpster at Waccamaw Metal Recycling on Stockholder Avenue in Myrtle Beach has died.

Tamara Willard with the Horry County Coroner's office says Stephen Breidinger, 53, from Conway, died on the scene at 12:45 Thursday.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.

"They were unloading the dumpster. Something happened to the roll-off. It shifted or moved. Consequently, someone got pinned underneath it," Bruce Arnel, with Myrtle Beach Fire Department, said.
