A Mullins school board member accused of sending threatening text messages to a 17-year-old student will not face criminal charges.

Shawn Harrelson is accused of sending the messages last month in regards to the student's relationship with his daughter.

The Marion County Magistrate says there's not enough evidence to support a charge of Unlawful Use of a Telephone.

The Mullins School Board voted to recommend Harrelson be removed for misconduct. No word on when the Marion County School Board may make a decision.
