(AP) -- GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - The parents of a Greenville County baby who suffered chemical burns in a meth lab have been sentenced on drug and child neglect charges.

Prosecutors say James Milton Brown was sentenced to 12 years Wednesday after pleading guilty to charges including manufacturing methamphetamine and weapons possession.

Kayla Davis will serve one year in prison on charges of child neglect and exposing minors to methamphetamine manufacturing.

In February 2010, social services workers and authorities inspected the couple's home after their 10-month old child was brought to a hospital with possible chemical burns.

Prosecutors said Davis admitted she and Brown had been cooking methamphetamine and that a cleaning chemical they were using to make the drug had burned the baby.
