Bennettsville woman picked her own numbers to win $100,000 in the Palmetto Cash 5 drawing with the South Carolina Education Lottery. The May 6th drawing was 9, 16, 17, 31, and 33.

"I had a good feeling about the numbers," the winner told lottery officials.

The woman didn't want to release her name. But, she says, the winnings have blessed her family.

There have been 13 winners of the $100,000 top prize in Palmetto Cash 5 since January 1.

Auto Fountain By-Pass #3 in Bennettsville sold the winning ticket and received $1,000, a 1 percent retailer commission.

Approximately 97 cents of every dollar spent by players on the South Carolina Education Lottery is returned to the state in the form of funding for education, prizes, retailer commissions, and payment to contractors for goods and services.
