MYRTLE BEACH -- If you have an old or rare coin collecting dust in your house, why not bring it to the International Coin Collectors Association show in Myrtle Beach this week where it may collect some cash?
The ICCA recently uncovered an 1894S Barber dime that sold for $1.9 million.
Collectors are looking for coins and paper currency issued before 1965, gold items like class rings, mismatched earrings, broken necklaces, gold coins and bullion.
The show is a place where you can connect with collectors from around the world. Experts there can make offers based on what ICCA collectors are willing to pay. If you decide to sell, you get paid on the spot.
The show started Monday and goes through Saturday. Weekdays, the hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, the hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The show is being held at the Country Inn & Suites at 3516 Waccamaw Boulevard in Myrtle Beach. For more information, call 217-726-7590.
