COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley says she will not be a vice presidential candidate on anyone's ticket in 2012.

Haley said Sunday on ABC's "This Week" that she finds talk of her joining a ticket a little silly.

The Republican says South Carolina voters took a chance on her and it is her job to prove that they made a good decision.

Haley is South Carolina's first female governor and is a favorite of conservatives who identify with the tea party.

Haley says she is looking forward to watching the 2012 campaign and the discussion of issues important to South Carolina voters.
