Insure.com, a website that supplies insurance information recently divided up mom's function into 14 different jobs, then used Bureau of Labor Statistics information on hourly wages to see how much you'd have to pay if someone else did mom's job. Their total salary calculated out at $61,436 annually.

Sunday, we asked mom's enjoying the mother's day holiday at Myrtle Beach what they felt about their profession.
The Mackin family was visiting with three generations of mothers.
"I have three kids and two grandchildren," Myra Mackin told NewsChannel 15. "It's great because now I can get a redo with the grandkids after I have raised mine."
When asked how much she thought mother's should earn, Myra first wasn't sure about putting a price on what she calls the greatest job in the world. She was quick to add it should be a high salary, because mom's do so much.
"Cleaning up, fixing food, making sure everybody is where they are supposed to be. It's just a lot of work all the time, and then you have to go to your real job," she said.
