COLUMBIA, SC (AP) -- South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and her husband have released their 2010 income tax returns.
Documents made available to reporters Friday showed the state's first family earned about $155,000. They also paid a small penalty for not having enough taxes withheld from their pay.
Haley took office in January. All of her 2010 income of a little more than $87,000 came from her work at Lexington Medical Center and as a state representative. Michael Haley earned nearly $69,000 in income from his work for the South Carolina National Guard.
The Haleys underpaid $883 in income taxes and had to pay a $21 penalty.
