More than 300 officers will be at Darlington Raceway this weekend to provide security.
The Darlington County Sheriff's Office set up a mobile command center in the center of all the action. They expect 60,000 people to come to the "Track too Tough to Tame" for the races.
TheRoyal Purple 200 takes place Friday night, and the Southern 500 runs Saturday.
The command center houses a mini-dispatch office, where operators will dispatch deputies to calls at the raceway. "That takes the load off the 911 center. Basically we have to set up two operations. We have set up operations at the track to handle all the people and calls here and of course we still have all the calls in the county," said Darlington County Sheriff Wayne Byrd.
All other county calls will be dispatched through the 911 center at the sheriff's office.
There are also dozens of surveillance cameras set up in and around the track to help deputies monitor what's going on.
