Florence County deputies have arrested a man who barricaded himself in an apartment complex on Stanley Drive, which is off of West Palmetto Street.
We are waiting on details about how he was finally arrested.
Capt. Brett Camp says deputies were looking for the man to talk with him about a shooting Saturday night. Tuesday afternoon, a deputy saw the man riding a moped. Camp says the man took off and went inside an apartment. When the officer went to the door, the man slammed the door in his face and refused to come out. That happened about 1:30 p.m.
Capt. Camp says they have a warrant to search the man's apartment.
Deputies and the SWAT team secured the apartment complex. They didn't evacuate, but anyone returning home is not allowed in yet.
