HORRY COUNTY, SC -- The South Carolina Forestry Commission says rain on Thursday helped smother a forest fire off International Drive in Horry County that's been burning since Sunday.
Just a few Forestry workers remain at the site to keep an eye on what remains.
The fire started Sunday afternoon and fire crews thought they had contained it. But Monday, it rekindled. In all, it burned about 80 acres.
The Forestry Commission will now try to figure out what caused the fire.
