MULLINS, SC -- Marion School District Two Interim Superintendent Michael Lupo says the school board attorney is investigating an exchange between a school board member and a Mullins High School student.
Lupo says he can't comment on the nature of the exchange, but says the student's parents made him aware of the situation Thursday and that's when the investigation started.
At this time, the name of the school board member and the student are not being released.
Thursday, NewsChannel 15 got a number of calls from residents saying the exchange involved a text message.
Lupo did not indicate when the investigation would wrap-up.
