BENNETTSVILLE, SC -- Police have found a second bomb-like device at a Marlboro County home.

Bennettsville Police Chief Larry McNeil tells NewsChannel 15 that on Thursday afternoon they got a tip of a second explosive device hidden at a home on Market Street in Bennettsville.

Police called in bomb experts with the State Law Enforcement Division's and they safely detonated the device. But there was a loud boom causing many neighbors to worry. McNeil says SLED is still on scene looking for any other devices.

On April 4th, police charged Michael Vanlons, of Bennettsville, with Manufacturing an Improvised Explosive Device after a device was found in the basement of an apartment complex when a new tenant moved into the apartment.
