This morning the South Carolina Forestry Department searches for embers and problem spots inside their containment lines, but agent Mike Ney says smoke is dieing down.
"It looks very good right now," says Ney. "There's not a whole lot of smoke from what we can see out here."
The commission continues to bulldoze paths around the fires that broke out Sunday and Monday, and even around some other areas they expect could ignite.
"There will be an airplane cirlcling around noon today, and we'll have even more bulldozers in the area around one this afternoon making sure that if something does happen we're prepared."
