Florence County Coroner Bubba Matthews says Miriam Burgess, 44, died from multiple stab wounds.

Thursday afternoon, police issued a warrant to charged Deonte Nathaniel Williams, 26, in her murder. They are actively looking for Williams.

Burgess' body was found just after 6:30 Wednesday morning, when Florence firefighters put out a fire in her home on Stackley Street.

They say the fire  appears to have started in the kitchen.

Detectives with the Florence Police Department went back to Stackley Street Thursday morning to talk with neighbors to see if they have any new information that could help them develop more leads.

Here's a link to a previous story about the murder of Burgess.
