FLORENCE -- Rescuers have reached Kristy Thornbrew, 29, of Florence, in the mountains of western North Carolina.
Thornbrew has been missing since Monday in the mountains of western North Carolina. She left early Monday morning to see the sunrise from a mountaintop near Bat Cave.
Buncombe County Sheriff Lt. Randy Sorrells says searchers from the air spotted Thornbrew Thursday morning.
Lt. Sorrells says Thornbrew appears to be in very good health and, "remarkable condition for what she's been through." He says she has minor injuries. The Citizen Times of Asheville is saying that Thornbrew fell.
They're now trying to get her out of the woods and to a hospital.
We will post more details as we get them.
