HORRY COUNTY -- The South Carolina Department of Transportation says the Yauhannah Bridge on Highway 701 has reopened. Emergency repairs were completed and the bridge back in order at 3:45 Wednesday afternoon.
The bridge on the Horry-Georgetown County line closed Monday after a tractor trailer ran off the side, killing the driver.
The DOT poured the concrete railing Wednesday morning. The concrete had to set before the DOT could open the bridge.
Highway 701 is the only direct route between Conway and Georgetown.
Transportation officials say about 3,700 vehicles use the bridge every day.
During the closure, traffic was rerouted more than a dozen miles away through Hemingway.
