There's a new addition to the family cemetery at Vereen Memorial Gardens.

The Yaupon Garden Club planted 20 knock-out roses in the Vereen Family Cemetery that dates back to the Revolutionary War.

Jackson Vereen donated 114 acres of family land in Little River to Horry County in 1971. The Yaupon Garden Club donated its time and materials over the years to improve the gardens.
