CONWAY -- Conway police spokesperson Catina Hipp says a man robbed the BB&T www.bbt.com/ bank on Highway 501 around 4 p.m. Monday.

Hipp says the man went into the bank, gave the teller a note, showed a handgun and threatened the clerk.

Police say they think he's the same man who robbed the Carolina First banks in Carolina Forest and North Myrtle Beach and the First Citizens bank in Carolina Forest.

He's described as 5'6" tall, weighing about 120 pounds. Monday, he was wearing a blue hat with a white emblem on it, an off-white T-shirt and jeans.

He got away in a silver or white older-model Toyota Camry with a black and gold license plate that either says Barefoot Landing or Barefoot Resort.

If you know anything about this robbery, call Conway police at (843) 248-1790.
