Conway police shut down Palmetto Street Tuesday as they looked for a shooting suspect.

They found Ronnie Eugene Bellamy, 43, of Conway at a home on Palmetto Street. Horry County SWAT and US Marshals helped with his capture.

Police charged Bellamy with Attempted Murder, Discharging a Firearm into a Dwelling, and Possession of a Weapon by Certain Persons.

They say Bellamy shot a 12-gauge shotgun at a man just before 11 p.m. On February 19 on Duckett Street.

The man was hit in the leg. Police say his wound was serious.

Bellamy is scheduled to appear before a judge Wednesday morning.
