The purpose of Senator Ray Cleary's meeting was to discuss his proposed recycling bill.

Cleary wants businesses who sell alcohol to recycle those containers.

He says that will bring recycling companies to the state which would mean more jobs.

Business owners say they shouldn't be required to support an industry that isn't fully established yet. And all businesses, not just those who sell alcohol, should be required to recycle.

If the bill passes, businesses may have to spend anywhere from $5,000 to $15,000 a year to recycle.

Both sides do agree recycling across the state does need to be expanded.
