U.S. Representative Tim Scott, (R) SC District One, will be the keynote speaker at the 2011 Black River District Friends of Scouting Banquet.

The event will be held at 6:30 pm, Wednesday at Litchfield Country Club, 619 Country Club Drive, Pawleys Island.

"We are delighted that Rep. Scott will be joining us as we celebrate another successful year of Scouting in Georgetown County," said Joe Crosby, Black River District Friends of Scouting Chairman. Funds raised from the event will go to support the growing Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Venturing and Exploring programs in Georgetown County.

A limited number of seats are available for the dinner and private reception. For more information on attending the event or how to support Georgetown County Boy Scouts, contact Joe Crosby at 843-546-3103.
