The teenager who police say shot at a school resource officer at Socastee High School in 2010, is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
The hearing is being held to determine whether the 15-year-old student will be tried as an adult or juvenile.
The waiver trial could last until the end of the week.
The 15-year-old boy is accused of shooting at a school resource officer in September, 2010.
Prosecutors say the teen, whose name is not being released because he's a juvenile, had pipe bombs in his backpack when he went into officer Erik Karney's office and fired a shot, narrowly missing Karney who was wounded by shrapnel.
The student has been charged with attempted murder and explosive charges.
He will remain in the Department of Juvenile Justice Detention Center until the hearing.
